In his scientific art exhibition at the museum of Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, April 2-22, 2015, artist BiJian Fan created an installation art with 50 students collectively. They folded hundreds of origami fishes together and installed a school of swarming fishes symbolizing collectivism. It commended college education like water to the fishes.
Origami Math Genius (OMG) is a curriculum of origami math developed for integrating art and math in K-12 education. BiJian introduced OMG to China and gave a series of public talks at venues such as The Chinese Museum of Women and Children and Xi'an Jiaotong University.
OMG has drawn overwhelming support. BiJian has teamed up with SiYuanKe, an alumni group to bring creative education in China. |
