Learn by heart
Students at Somis school strived to become Origami Math Geniuses (OMG). They learned origami and transformed a paper strip into a heart. They also made a hearty flower through spatial reasoning and collaboration. OMG instilled mathematical concepts in their minds and delighted them about learning math through origami activities.
OMG integrates origami art and math into K-12 education. The inquiry based curriculum engages students in relevant origami tasks to acquire math skills. Learning math through origami has significant effect on math achievement and confidence. OMG has been taught to students and teachers throughout Southern California.
