Learning math through origami
Origami helps children tremendously in learning math because it visualizes mathematical concepts such as fraction, ratio, angle, shape, area, and volume. Its advantage in math education has been established in numerous studies. Origami is a commonality among the top 7 countries in math education.
To facilitate learning math through origami, a curriculum and textbook - Origami Math Genius (OMG) has been developed. It will be presented to local teachers and educational professionals at Ventura County Office of Education on September 12, 2016.
